Alaska can be very pretty in the summer, but the other months of the year are just awful >< I like to visit, but living here sucks big time. You got this in Juneau? If so I think that is brotherhood bridge trail.

I adore the stark contrast of the winter's chill in the mountains and the new life of spring/early summer in the foreground. its a beautiful state and a beautiful picture.

My pleasure, yes it's very overwhelming in beauty, I can't bare to look at it sometimes cause it makes me hate Minnesota for being so damn ugly sometimes haha. Actually Minnesota has rocking sunsets and sunrises.
Yeah I think you captured a good lot of the beautiful elements of Alaska, there are so many tho it's hard to do all in one photo. :D I've been there 3 times now and I'm hoping to go back again within the year but who knows, it's expensive to travel now and days.
Looks like at the time you went it was beautiful weather, the last time I went it rained and was cloudy with no sun for days on end, every day that I was there for a little over 2 weeks except 2 days. :| The only good photo I got was in a plane on the way there out of a plane window. WHOOHOOO lol
Actually if you look threw my gallery folders you will see a folder marked Alaska, all shots except the first two are from the last time I went. :D Feel free to browse if you like.

To be honest I think Minnesota is one of the most beautiful states in the country if you know where to look. I have been to all 50 and MN is in the top :). Think of all of the lakes and forests and prairies and plains and hills and valleys and rivers. And the shore of Lake Superior, the boundary waters. Also Minneapolis and St. Paul have beautiful architecture and parks :) I also think the hills around lutsen and Duluth are gorgeous. Have you been to gooseberry falls or temperance river up north? But I do agree about the sunsets :) And I definitely will check out more of your beautiful photography. I'm glad to meet fellow Minnesota artists.

Well you have a point, I guess it's because I have lived in Minnesota all my life and see so much of it on a regular basis that for me it's nothing new and gets old but the sunsets and sunrises never do.
I don't believe I have been to Lusten or Gooseberry Falls but I have been to Lake Superior and Duluth but never did much exploring at the time.
Yes I agree it's great to meet another fellow Minnesotan photographer. :D I will be keeping an eye out for some more of your work and I'll have to take a farther look into your gallery as well. :D
Take care and hope to chit chat later. Ohh and I'm sorry about the city gal thing I did not notice you where a guy until after I went on your profile, I totally feel like an ass haha. :|

I am always discovering new things here that are so beautiful. Have you been to the town of Stillwater yet? That is very beautiful too. But I recommend coming down to the cities sometime, they are very photogenic. I actually am planning a new project where I am going to photograph all of the most iconic images of the city and put them up on DA. Haha no worries, people confuse me for a girl a lot :P btw the more and more I look at your gallery the more beautiful it is, amazing work, I am stunned.

Yeah, I just don't get out enough I guess.
I have not, at least not that I can remember but I have been to St Paul a few times, very interesting place and I'd love to go back to take some photo's but I don't have the time or money to travel anywhere with the way the economy is. It's only getting worse, some say we might face another depression which I kind of agree with, things don't seem to be looking up at all.
I bet that will be fun, the photographing all the most iconic images of the city. :D Can't wait to see them!
I thank you for all the faves and support you are giving me.
